Part of the major American corporation, PCC, we are a global manufacturer of complex metal components and products, supplying products worldwide to our prestigious blue-chip customers.
Wyman-Gordon’s Livingston facility located in Scotland, UK, supplies forged products globally to the aerospace and energy markets. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team.
Role Summary:
Responsible for ensuring Projects & Programmes for the Livingston site are delivered on time, to budget and with the right outcome and deliverables.
Manage dependencies, split of responsibilities across multi-organisational programmes as well as manage escalations, risks and issues, sourcing of resources internally or from partners, and compile programme performance reporting.
Essential Functions:
• Define and implement Project timeline to achieve On Time delivery.
• Optimise the use of the resources assigned to the Project working with internal stakeholders and other partners.
• Lead and/or contribute to the definition of the Statements of Work (SOWs) including for example the definition of plans and scope of work, identifying and validating all assumptions and dependencies.
• RACI definition across the Project work breakdown structure.
• Foster strong team sprit and working relationships among Project Team Members and trust based relationship with the SLT.
• Drive external suppliers and Project Team to ensure they are focused on key deliverables / milestones.
• Monitor progress of tasks and activities in relation to the defined scope, manage escalation if needed, anticipate, communicate and mitigate Project risks and issues within a shared governance structure.
• Manage and report on the Project budget including monitoring purchases and expenses.
• Prepare and communicate Internal as well as customer focused Project status.
• Maintain critical Project documentation including records of risks and issues, and the production of lessons learned and reporting documentation.
• Carry out any other reasonable task as requested by the Senior Management Team.
Education/ Qualification/ Knowledge::
• Engineering / Technical Degree or Equivalent.
• Project Management Certifications: PMP, PRINCE 2 or similar is desired but not essential, as long as the ability to demonstrate consistent and rigorous adherence in Projects that have been delivered can be demonstrated.
EXPERIENCE:
• Demonstrated experience in a Project or Programme Management role.
• Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills including the ability to convey information at correct level of detail for different audiences: customer executives, business stakeholders, IT stakeholders, and end users.
• Experience working with local and international resources and teams.
• Experience in delivering technical, equipment and customer based Projects in a fast moving results driven environment.
• UK based (Livingston) – permitted to work in the UK.
• Valid driving license and access to a car in the UK.
