MAGAZINE ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
Menzies Distribution have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our Magazine Account Team who play an important role in supporting our Publishers, Branches and Retailers to maintain appropriate service levels across the UK & Ireland.
Reporting directly to the Key Account Manager you will support all functions within the team including extensive internal & external communication across the MD Branch network, Magazine Distributors & Retail team.
Details:
- Location: EDINBURGH, EH12
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am - 5pm, with flexibility required
- Salary: £26-30,000 p/a
- Hybrid working (3 home / 2 office)

Magazine Account Executive - WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Publisher & Branch query management - act as point of contact for our publishers and branch teams to investigate & resolve issues.
- Retailer query management - act as point of contact for our internal Customer support teams to investigate & resolve issues.
- Collectables product category – management & allocation of publisher accounts/products.
- Books & DVD category – working with internal teams to manage this growth area of our business.
- Allocation activity - Entering magazine allocation data into the Central Allocation System based on Publisher criteria.
- Internal/External reporting – Knowledge of SAP & BO/Power BI would be advantageous.
- Supporting all functions of current Magazine Account team.
- Regular communication with magazine team members to ensure consistency of service provided to publishers.
- Support ad-hoc duties assigned by management when required.
WHAT YOU NEED
You’ll be a positive ‘can do’ individual that genuinely enjoys supporting stakeholders and is able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team and is comfortable working to strict deadlines set by our Publishers & end customer. You will have a professional and efficient approach to challenging situations, have a good eye for detail and demonstrate a desire to exceed customer expectations. You will have excellent relationship building skills, an ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload, support decision making and have confidence in your own convictions.

** This role would really suit a graduate or similar, with some work experience within either a customer service or other fast-moving environment. **
