About the role
The Senior Consultant will report to the Practice Manager and the Regional Practice Director, Digital Risk Advisory, and is accountable for leading client engagements end-to-end, playing a key role in successful delivery of a high-class service. The Senior Consultant is responsible for making sure the client receives the proper service through proactive attention to planning, analysis, execution, and proper close-out on a project. They may be the sole delivery resource on a client engagement or may lead a small team as the senior delivery resource on site, delivering Digital Risk Advisory services and solutions, which include primarily PCI DSS, and other services, such as, SOC2, ISO27001, NIST, NIS2, CAF and Cyber Supply Chain Security.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise and recommendations to clients throughout a Digital Risk Advisory engagement, from planning the work through to delivering high quality reports.
- Work closely with the practice managers and other consultants on a matter to ensure that lines of communication between the client and BSI are established and maintained during the course of the engagement and that a mutual understanding of the scope of work and related costs exists between both parties.
- Be part of a dynamic team of highly experienced consultants working together in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Be experienced with technology, technology concepts and describing them in an understandable and approachable manner to stakeholders at various levels, including senior managers and Boards.
- Recognize and nurture commercial opportunities during ongoing projects where BSI could support the client in achieving its objectives.
- Perform an active quality assurance role to ensure high quality work is delivered on time and within the allocated resources.
- Provide pre-sales support to our consulting teams where required for example, responses to tenders.
- Participate in client and internal team meetings, mentoring and training sessions.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent experience, holds a relevant professional qualification and may have a postgraduate qualification such as an MSc, MBA, or other appropriate business, engineering, scientific or industry qualification.
- Should have, or be able to achieve HMG Security Check clearance (UK Only)
- Must be PCI DSS certified QSA with minimum 4 year experience.
- At least four years of relevant experience as a PCI DSS QSA carrying out assignments, alone or as part of a team, applying knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Experience of completing Self-Assessment Questionnaire, Report on Compliance (ROC) and Attestation of Compliance documents (AOC).
