The Catering Manager will report to the Soft Services Operations Manager, taking operational and financial responsibility for a brand-new self-delivered catering provision within our client site in Glasgow.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the establishment of a new grab-and-go food offering for a site with approximately 600 staff, primarily contact centre-based.
Job Description
The role involves overseeing a streamlined catering model that includes pre-prepared items such as yoghurt, crisps, cakes, and paninis heated using a Merrychef oven.
With no hot food preparation or on-site cooking required, the Catering Manager will focus on heating, presenting, and serving food alongside a General Assistant, managing the self-service till system, and ensuring seamless daily operations.
Key responsibilities include ordering, stock-taking, compliance with UK catering legislation, and maintaining high standards in food safety, hygiene, and quality.
This position offers a unique chance to lead a new food provision, playing a hands-on role in its successful delivery while building strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Mobilise and land the new offering commencing January 2025 on Santander head office building estate at Glasgow
- Plan, allocate and monitor the work of self and team to ensure targets are met work is carried out to meet and exceed agreed quality standards, creating necessary conditions for maximum productivity
- Report data against set financial and operational performance targets
- Lead motivate and support team to ensure they are able to carry out their tasks efficiently and effectively
- Ensure effective management of staff within their control and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures in relation recruitment, absence management disciplinary procedures etc
- Ensure the ongoing development of all supervisors, operatives and teams within the contract and to establish succession plans for all key positions
- Create, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with the clients at the appropriate level
- Create and Maintain a Healthy, Safe, and Secure Environment and ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation
- Produce accurate and timely reports and information as required by the client or the company
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Experience in manager or supervising a team member
- Level 2 Food Hygiene
- Good personal appearance
- The ability to manage their own time
- Good admin skills
