Location: Beith and surrounding areas (KA15 1LY)
Salary: £14-17 per hour, DOE
Contract: Full-time, permanent (40+ hours per week) Monday – Friday Day Shift. Overtime available on weekends.

Mechanical Fitter – The Role

Working as part of a small team in a North Ayrshire based Engineering and Fabrication company, the successful candidate will be trained to collaborate within a lean manufacturing workshop environment to optimise efficiency and minimise waste, maintain and promote high standards of health and safety in all aspects of the job and use hand tools, power tools and repair a variety of engineering equipment.

Key Responsibilities;

•  Use hand tools, power tools and repair a variety of engineering equipment.
•  Read and interpret engineering drawings
•  Perform to a high standard of quality and meet ISO 9001 requirements.
•  Work collectively with a team and work with own initiative
•  Collaborate within a Lean manufacturing workshop environment to optimise efficiency and minimise waste.
•  Safety Standards: Maintain and promote high standards of health and safety in all aspects of the job.
•  Knowledge of pumps, conveyors, screws, motors are desirable.

Mechanical Fitter – What we need from you

Key Skills & Experience;

•  Mechanical Fitting Experience on a variety of machinery and plant equipment – (3 years’ experience)
•  Full UK Drivers License (preferred)
•  Knowledge of ISO9001 quality control standards.
