Overview
As an Assistant Manager, you will be at the heart of the management team, helping to ensure the smooth running of our busy Glasgow showroom. You will lead by example to set the standard for the team and ensure our customers’ expectations are exceeded.
Main Responsibilities
Your role is to support the Showroom Manager manage our flagship showroom, and lead our team of sales advisors to drive growth, and achieve key performance targets. In the absence of the Showroom Manager, you will be responsible to running the showroom, ensuring standards are maintained.
Your main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing and overseeing showroom operations, ensuring the efficient functioning of the showroom in line with brand standards
- Ensure promotions, new products, and other commercial changes are launched smoothly and correctly, in line with company standards
- Lead, develop, and coach the team of sales advisors to maximise all sales opportunities and achieve targets and KPIs
- Conduct regular observations and share feedback with your team to ensure a 5-star customer experience remains paramount
- Analyse reports and sales data to highlight opportunities for improvement
- Manage attendance, timekeeping, and performance in your team, in accordance with HR policies and procedures
- Ensure consistent Health & Safety compliance
- Liaise with colleagues across the business to ensure best practise
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have natural leadership skills, with the ability to drive and motivate a diverse sales team. To be successful in this role, you will need to be:
- Commercially minded and have a strong presence on the shop floor
- Passionate about creating an exceptional experience for customers
- Great with people; using your excellent communication and leadership skills to get the best out of your team
- Quick-thinking; you will need to think on your feet and adapt as needed in a busy working environment
- Well organised; you will be able to structure your day, prioritise tasks, and ensure deadlines are met.
