STEM recruitment solutions have a superb opportunity for a Financial Controller to work for their highly acclaimed manufacturing client in the Scottish Borders

You will be a critical part of the management team, looking after the finances of the two sites and supporting driving efficiencies and financial control.

The job encompasses:

• Provide high-level support to the Plant Management Team on administrative and financial matters.
• Ensure accuracy in cost centre accounting, standard costs, and inventory management.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closure processes.
• Oversee plant reporting and support business area reporting.
• Manage the plant’s forecast processes and enhance cost data accuracy.
• Identify cost savings opportunities and support cost-effective operations.
• Drive investment analysis, including payback evaluations of completed projects.
• Manage and develop the Accounting Team
• Implement and maintain an efficient internal control framework.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant field.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
