We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Residential Childcare Worker to join our client’s dedicated team in Fife. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

As a Senior Residential Childcare Worker, you will oversee and support a team of Residential Childcare Workers, ensuring high standards of care and emotional support for the children in the service. You will be responsible for developing individual care plans, building strong relationships with the children, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. This role combines leadership and hands-on care, providing a rewarding chance to make a real difference in young people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team in delivering daily care and support.
  • Develop and implement care plans for each child’s individual needs.
  • Build positive relationships with children, promoting their growth and development.
  • Supervise staff and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Act as a role model, demonstrating best practices and effective care strategies.
  • Collaborate with families and external professionals for better outcomes.

Essential Criteria:

  • Significant experience in residential childcare or a similar setting.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ Level 3 or HNC in Social Care).
  • Leadership and communication skills.
  • Commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Desirable Criteria:

  • SVQ Level 4 or equivalent.
  • Supervisory or senior-level experience in childcare.
