Engineering Manager โ Shiplift Safetyย
Join our Design Authority (DA) team as Engineering Manager overseeing the Shiplift Safety Justification Plan (SJP). You'll lead safety case production, manage engineering workstreams, and ensure safe delivery of Ship lift programmes through to end-of-life.

Lead the Shiplift Safety Justification Plan (SJP) ๐
Manage engineering inputs across all Ship lift programmes โ๏ธ
Guide Safety Case & Design Engineers ๐ทโโ๏ธ๐ทโโ๏ธ
Collaborate with stakeholders across the project lifecycle ๐ค
Promote safety, compliance, and best practices
Strong engineering leadership in safety-critical environments
Experience in safety case management and stakeholder engagement
Knowledge of Design Authority responsibilities & standards

Qualificationsโ Essential Skills & Experience
๐ Degree in Engineering or a related field
๐ Chartered Engineer (or working towards it with solid CPD)
๐ Strong knowledge of nuclear regulatory complianceย
๐ Desirable Experience
๐ก๏ธ In-depth knowledge of Design Authority (DA) roles & nuclear safety cases
๐ Project engineering & site integration
๐ Technical assurance and compliance with industry legislation
๐งพ Authoring technical reports, specs, and queries
๐ง Experience in regulated environments
๐ค Stakeholder engagement across disciplines
๐ฆบ Basic H&S training for site work
๐งโ๐ซ Mentoring and supervising engineers
๐๏ธ Organised, detail-oriented, with top-tier written & verbal communication
Predominantly WFH.ย Monthly travel to site for some key meetings etc is required.
Sole UK National, SC clearance required to startย
