Senior Project Manager

Contract Scotland are working closely with one of the UK's most recognised family-owned building contractors to source a Senior Project Manager to lead a large project in Aberdeen. Our client boasts a strong portfolio and can offer continued work in the local area.

As Senior Project Manager, you will have extensive experience managing large new-build projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

- Planning and overseeing the project, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Managing and leading the project team, ensuring that all team members are working towards the project goals and objectives.
- Conducting risk assessments and developing contingency plans to minimize project risks and ensure project success.
- Communicating with stakeholders and managing their expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensuring that all project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Facilitating project meetings and ensuring that all team members are up-to-date with project progress and issues.
- Developing and maintaining project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and status reports.
- Providing project status updates to senior management and other stakeholders as required.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, construction, or project management.
- 10+ years of experience in managing construction projects.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and act tactically.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and other project stakeholders.
