My client is one of the UKs leaders in fire protection services. They have been one the fastest growing fire protection companies, and due to a recent contract award are looking to employ an experienced supervisor to oversee multiple operatives on a project in Edinburgh.

You will be site based overseeing the day to day operations for your team, consisting of multiple fire door joiners. The works will cover door remediation and installation works.

The successful candidate will have:

• Knowledge of fire doors
• Experience working within the live environments
• The ability to liaise and report to clients and tenants where required
• Experience managing a team of trade operatives
• NVQ or equivalent in carpentry or passive fire protection
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification
• Driving licence

Responsibilities include:

• Managing a team of operatives, both direct labour and subcontractors up to 10 at any one time
• Toolbox talks and responsibility for on-site safety
• Making sure materials deliveries are carried out accurately and timely
• Managing appointments alongside your team of project coordinators
• Being the first port of call for your team when any issues arise
• Post work inspections of fire doors and completing reports
• Assisting your project manager where needed
