A leading provider of engineering solutions, specialising in mechanical and electrical services, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for upcoming work in the west of Scotland.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects from conception to completion. You will lead project teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets in accordance with client requirements and company objectives.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment on project goals and expectations.
  • Manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Significant demonstrable experience in project management within the engineering or construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale engineering projects from initiation to closeout.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
