Our client is looking for a Regional Sales Manager for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen (Hybrid Working)

ROLE

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for promotion of products and services to existing customers and new prospects within the defined territory. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the company secures budgeted sales to sustain/grow market share for its portfolio of services. In addition, the Regional Sales Manager will assess the dynamics of the regional market, identifying change in customer demand, competitive threat/activity, general customer satisfaction and opportunities for new products or service within the defined territory.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning and Organising

  • Securing budgeted sales for products and services within Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
  • Gathering market intelligence including:
  • Customer insight to identify changes in demand or emerging needs.
  • Competitor activity likely to impact the business.
  • Macro trends and/or technologies that could disrupt the market.
    • Establishing long-term relationships with strategic customers, ensuring a contractual backlog of business is maintained within the defined territory.
    • Visit customers and prospects to cross-sell and up-sell value added services, explaining customer benefits and differentiating from the competition.
    • Communicate with all stakeholders to ensure that customers are well informed, realistic expectations set and the business execution team is positioned to meet customer need.
    • Provide accurate forecasting of service demand, revenues, and timing to ensure efficient and effective business planning.

General

  • Ensure administration duties are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Timely communication within the department and provide support and assistance to other staff/partners where appropriate.
  • Undertake other duties as may be reasonably required to meet the needs of the business.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures.

Financial/Budget Accountabilities

  • Secure budgeted sales revenues (closed won) for the defined territory from both forecast and target opportunities within the defined territory.

Core Competencies/Technical Requirements

  • Fluent in English and at least one other language commonly used within the defined territory.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • The ability to listen interpret customer need, confirm understanding and identify how the company can add value to the relationship.
  • Able to present a vision internally and externally of the value proposition offered by company services and the unique selling points that provide differentiation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of CRM tools and relational databases for collation and analysis of customer information.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a similar role in the defined territory, selling engineering solutions or aftermarket services.
  • Evidence of key account management and success in achieving sales growth in a competitive environment.
  • Demonstrate that you are self-motivated and a team player, able to lead or support new initiatives or product introductions
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent experience, with demonstrated competence to articulate and deliver complex maintenance services.
